Quick Answer
Choose Rex Specs V2 goggles for eye protection and Ear Pro for hearing protection—each serves a different need, so many working dogs benefit from both.
Eye Protection vs. Hearing Protection: Different Jobs
Rex Specs V2 goggles and Rex Specs Ear Pro address two separate risks. Goggles shield your dog's eyes from debris, wind, and bright light, while Ear Pro reduces harmful noise exposure. Knowing which hazard your dog faces most will guide your purchase.
Compatibility and Fit Considerations
Both products are designed for working dogs, but they fit differently. Rex Specs V2 goggles come in sizes, and Ear Pro is available in three sizes based on head circumference. If your dog needs both, ensure each fits properly without interfering with the other.
Trade-Offs at a Glance
- Protection Type: Goggles protect eyes; Ear Pro protects hearing. You cannot substitute one for the other. Assess your dog's primary environmental hazards first.
- Fit and Sizing: Ear Pro requires measuring head circumference; goggles rely on breed-specific sizing. Both must fit snugly but comfortably. Measure your dog before ordering to avoid returns.
- Lens Options: V2 replacement lenses offer different tints, including a silver mirror that allows only 13% of light for light-sensitive dogs. Choose lens tint based on your dog's sensitivity and typical lighting conditions.
